Lemmenjoki National Park, Lapland

It took me a week to drive all the way up to 70 north latitude, but it seemed like a 3 month 'fast forward' to the end of autumn. We didn't have a firm plan into which national park to hike, but we took the first one we passed in Finland (when entering from the north). Lemmenjoki, a 4 day hike along the river, on the edge of winter. And sometimes a little bit over that edge. But wow, Finland must be the best hiking country in the world. Great wilderness campsites, free backcountry huts with firewood and amazing scenery.
