  • Reisverslag (nog niet beschikbaar) : Route des Bonhommes 2004

  • Austria, East Tirol (7 days) - Aug 2004

  • Reisverslag : C1 Sneeuw/IJs, Venediger-Zuid
  • C1 Mountaineering Course in the Venediger Area. Highlights included the summit of Gross Venediger (3674m), crossing glaciers and learning all kinds of techniques to stay safe in this world of ice and snow. Very rewarding.

The Netherlands, Krijtlandpad (4 days) - May 2004

4 nice days in the most southern tip of The Netherlands. We even climbed the country's highest mountain!

    New Zealand, South Island - Mar/Apr 2004

  • Trip Report : Tramping in New Zealand
  • Kepler Track, Fiordland National Park - 4 days

The Kepler Track took us deep into the Fiordland National Park. First into the wet rain forest and the next day over a windy alpine section full of snow, hail and wind. Then we descended into a quiet peacefull rain forest again and a gentle path took us back to Te Anau in 2 more days. A beautiful trip.

    Routeburn/Greenstone Track, Fiordland/Mount Aspiring NP - 5 days

The routeburn track is only 3 days, but then you end up at the wrong side of the mountains. We looped back through the greenstone valley. The weather on the Routeburn was terrible, heavy rains and heavy winds. Once we reached the greenstone valley the weather finally cleared, but since we descended into the valley there were no more views. Despite the weather we still enjoyed the trip very much.

Matikituki Valley, Mount Aspiring National Park - 2 days

A 'quicky' into Mount Aspiring National Park. We hiked to Rob Roy glacier and then onward to Mount Aspiring Hut. Two easy relaxing days in nice mountain scenery.

Copland Track (Welcome Flats), Westland National Park - 3 days

A long medium/hard hike through the gorgeous rain forest of Westland National Park. We camped at Welcome Flat where we dipped into the natural hot springs. The birds were helpfull, the tomtits guarded our tent against sandflies, the weka's provided the wake-up calls and the morepork (owl) made sure we did not fall asleep in the steaming hot pools.
